Vehicle Wrap Guide FAQs

How much vinyl does each vehicle type need?

A crew-cab pickup runs 60-75 linear feet of 60-inch film, a mid-roof cargo van 75-130, a sport bike only 8-18, and a Class C motorhome 120-260. The figure scales with panel area, not vehicle length, which is why a tall van consumes more than a longer but lower pickup.

Which vehicle type is hardest to wrap?

Motorcycles, per square foot. Every fairing and tank panel curves in two directions at once, so the film needs heat-forming and post-heating to hold. Vans are the hardest at scale because rivets, corrugations and panel heights above 60 inches force seams.

Does the wrap visualizer work on all of these?

Yes. Upload a photo of any body type and paint each panel independently. Each guide below covers the film footage, panel map and finish notes specific to that vehicle.

Why do labor hours vary so much within one vehicle type?

Accessory removal drives most of it. A wrap where mirrors, handles, badges and lights come off takes longer but produces wrapped edges that do not lift. Quoting the same job as a trim-in-place install underprices the labor by a wide margin.
